Healthy Recipes and Healthy Living.

You can manage your health through the food you eat. You must however know that not all the food you eat are good for your health as explained in the last post (i.e. junk food). Only 4% of the food you eat is useful for your body.

Diseases are caused most of the time by diet and lifestyle. Stress or not giving yourself enough rest is one of the major cause of disease.

The following are the things to do towards healthy living:

1. The principle of education: Educate yourself about health matters. What you don't know might be killing you. Ignorance is the greatest disease. Read, search and seek for knowledge especially how to live long. The fact that you are reading this post shows that you are planning and living your life towards sound health.
The following are the things you should educate yourself about.
-Have the knowledge of your human body. You must desire to know how your body works. Have a good knowledge of the liver (for detoxification), heart, kidney, brain etc. This will be explained better in the coming post.
-Know your foods. Carbohydrates, proteins, fat and oil, minerals and vitamins are good examples of what to know in your food. you must also know what they do.
-Knowledge about the impact of your environment on your health. Due to the increase technology which result to release of some gases that are toxic to your body, you must therefore be sensitive to your environment.
-Also have the knowledge of God and your enemy the devil trying to attack your health.

2.Abstention: This is abstaining from certain things. It requires a lot of discipline. For example, you should stop taking MILK at the age of 60years. This is because, it is believed that lactase an enzyme responsible for the digestion of lactose the carbohydrate in milk to glucose and galactose will no longer be produced at age 4years. Therefore gradual accumulation of lactose over the years might result to disorder at age 60yaer in anyone addicted to milk.
